Preparing your home for spring can be an immediate mood booster. You’ll need to start with a base, such as a tablecloth or a runner. Then, you’ll need a centerpiece. Vary the heights of the items of your centerpiece, taking into account elements such as a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, or the fact you want to talk to others across the table. Consider using design tricks like the rule of threes for variety and visual appeal. Then, add other elements such as greenery and indoor plants for texture and variety.  

 

When adding your spring decorations, consider the symbols they represent, such as rebirth, immortality and the arrival of new life. Like old friends, they are all waiting for us to join in the festivities. Each piece of decoration can stand alone or compliment the others around them. By adding candles and coordinating various spring colors together, you can turn a simple dining table into a festive area for dining and gathering around with your family.

Keep your tablescape year round by switching out seasonal accents such as the eggs. If you are using potted plants check regularly for leaf health, and use the thumb check for moisture levels to avoid overwatering. Ensure you have protection under potted plants to avoid damage to your table.
